Drawing on African heritage and craftsmanship, each bead that makes up Thadie's Earrings is hand rolled by the women of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Using raw clay, the beads are sun dried, kiln fired and dip dyed ensuring no two are the same.
Available in 3 colourways:
Earrings are made with sterling silver posts. Other metal components are made from brass (either oxidised silver, silver, gold or rose gold plating).
Each clay bead is hand rolled, kiln fired, then dip dyed before being individually strung onto a wrought iron frame.
A community based project, head designer Merewyn Rossouw and a team of local women harness their natural talents, embracing the beauty of imperfection. Clay is distributed into the communities where our ladies can hand roll the beads. They carry the fingerprints and that is why we like to call them “perfectly imperfect”.
Designed for the world, handmade in Africa by a beautiful community in Kwazulu Natal, Midlands, South Africa.
